see? it pays to wake up at 3 and be outside best-buy at 3:30 in the morning on a freezing day-after-thanksgiving and get a sweet deal on an mp3 car deck. just got it installed yesterday and it simply rocks – all 200W of it. best of all it plays native aac files too! (along with mp3, wma and cds on cd/r s).

no more 26 cds for audible’s harry potter books – just 2 mp3 cds will do.

and now comes this news that Hutch is planning to offer mobile episodes or (warning: brand new word alert) “mobisode”s of this drama to their cell phone subscribers.

crazy times ahead!

5 things i liked:
1. the entry of the beauxbatons and durmstrang schools: nice choreography!
2. moody’s theoretical description of the unforgivable curses and practical demonstrations on the spider – merry fun turns to deathly silence.
3. harry’s dragon fight in the first task – wow! really made me jump (and i am guy who feasts on movies like “the ring”)
4. the picturesque grounds and castle as the seasons pass – summer and winter bring a whole new character to the buildings.
5. interludes between the different students – the harry-ron fight and reunion, ron-hermione’s tough chemistry, harry-hermione’s frienship – all come together nicely in many parts of the movie.

5 things i hated:
1. too many deviations from the book – no dobby/winky or mention of any elf or SPEW – would have thought it would have made for good comedy and the weasley twins could have been maximised for some “wizardly wheezes” type fun.
2. quidditch world cup – could have been more interesting by … actually showing the game (atleast a little bit)! the movie skips on after the introduction of the players
3. was that a pirate’s eye patch on mad-eye?
4. cho cho cho – she was just cho ordinary – harry could do better than her!
5. and finally my biggest crib: lord voldemort! come on! where is the depth of character? where is the sonorous voice? where is the charisma? looked like an ordinary man in a mask – which i guess he was.

overall, i was a bit disappointed with the screenplay, but the effects and some intense and comic moments make up for it for a overall rating of 3/5.

you write (or atleast you think you do) insanely comical, topical, funny, awe-inspiring posts (don’t laugh, just play along, alright??).

then one fine day you are rewarded: you are the first in a google search for your nickname.

the wall street journal online is on display for a week (yeah – now you know where to look for free stuff!).

there’s an interesting insane article today that caught my eye and gave me a faint feeling that the human race might be truly doomed.

that wikipedia devoted a whole page (well to be fair, who ever heard of half a page?!) to this gave strength to that feeling.

but the presence of a forum where people actually sit and discuss this silliness confirmed it once and for all: we are truly and whole-heartedly doomed.

enjoy some silliness: Batman, Michael Moore and many many more!

first the good news: i get everything on a single bill! yahoooooeeerrrrrr…. wait a minute, this is good news? do they send a defibrillator kit along with the bill as well?

well the actual good news is yet to come. when you create a new sbcglobal id, they allow you to “link” it to an existing yahoo id and then your exisitng id gets enabled with all the goodies associated with a dsl user id – namely – 2 GB of email space (who cares? i got gmail and use my yahoo id for my spam mails), unlimited online photo storage (ho hum, i host my servers myself so i got that already) and … oh i almost forgot … launchcast plus!!!!

the station “Power Ballads” simply rocks! one after the other it blows my mind away as i type out line after line of power java code. this stuff is rocket fuel.
